In this session, hear from three distinguished principals who are making a difference in the lives of urban high school students. Linda Nathan is the founding headmaster of Boston Arts Academy, the city's first and only public high school for the visual and performing arts, which sends over 95 percent of its graduates to college. Principal Baruti Kafele has led transformations in four different New Jersey schools. His current school, Newark Tech, has been recognized twice by U.S. News and World Report as one of America's best high schools. Tim King is an educator and nonprofit leader and currently the founder and president of Urban Prep Academies, a network of all-male charter public high schools in Chicago. All of Urban Prep's 107 graduating seniors were accepted to colleges and universities. Let their journeys motivate you to achieve success with your students.
